Missoula Children’s Theater (MCT) is a program that PTA brings to the school to have a creative outlet for AVS students. MCT fosters creativity and enhances innate capabilities in individuals all over the world by providing access to community-driven performing arts experiences. MCT strives to transcend any barriers such as language, culture, financial resources, and unique needs to transform lives by actively engaging people in the arts.
What to expect: Anyone can participate, no prior experience required; everyone gets a part.
Here’s what we provide
- 1 little red truck
- 2 professional actor/directors
- 5 exciting days of team building
- 20 focused hours of rehearsal
- 60 proud cast members
- 100s of smiling faces
The MCT team will arrive at our school and create a 50-60 person cast. The show, which is an MCT original adaptation of a classic children’s story or fairytale, is then rehearsed throughout the week and two public performances are presented at the end of the week.
